Cape Town - Eskom will implement stage 1 load shedding from 16:00 until 17:00 and stage 2 load shedding from 17:00 to about 22:00 on Monday.
"This is due to increased electricity demand and a shortage of generation capacity resulting from technical faults at some of our power station units," Eskom said.

"Any unexpected changes on the vulnerable and constrained power system could lead to a change in the load shedding stage at short notice," it said.
The City of Cape Town said on Monday that it would implement stage 1 load shedding from 17:00 to 18:00 and 20:00 to 22:00. Stage 2 will be implemented from 18:00 to 20:00.
The City of Cape Town managed to avert load shedding on Sunday "due to spare generation capacity at the Steenbras power station", in a new development of cities trying to find ways to adapt to the country's electricity challenges.
Eskom implemented stage 3 load shedding on Saturday as it attempted to build up generation power for the week ahead.
