Johannesburg - Eskom workers affiliated to the National Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) are planning to picket outside Megawatt Park, the power utility's headquarters, in Sunninghill, Johannesburg on Wednesday.
The workers are demanding an increase of 12% across the board.
Numsa also wants a R1 000 housing allowance and a standby allowance of R100.
Eskom spokesperson Andrew Etzinger on Tuesday said the company had obtained an interdict from the labour court, barring the workers from embarking on industrial action.
Numsa spokesperson Castro Ngobese said the interdict would not prevent them from demonstrating.
"We aren't threatened by Eskom's interdict and it should not be wasting money and energy on interdicts," Ngobese said.
