Another opportunity for the fat anc black cats to utilize their corrupt minds. This is nothing but a means to take money from the predominatly white private sector and baby sit and attend to the lazy masses.

      Well said & truthfull

Hahahahaha!!!!!! I can see this pancake landing on the floor before the batter has even been mixed!

  • Shisstirrer QBE - 2011-08-09 10:50

It will not work , the current government has a colourful history of corruption , the NHI will be bankrupt before it gets off the ground

  • battle4truth - 2011-08-09 10:52

Implementations to establish a communist regime. End result - the government becomes your god, providing for all your needs.

In Apartheid, out Taxes paid for the ring highway to be build around JHB, now we got toll fees. Our taxes paid for hospitals and health care. Now into day world, there are more people paying tax as apartheid has ended. (thank God) What does not make sense to me as a concerned tax payer, is where is our TAX money going and how much are we going to be paying fot NHI? where is our tax money going is the million $ question? Not to services that’s for sure. Bloody agents

      amouse - 2011-08-09 13:34

Bad comparison!? In Apartheid, taxes were mainly used on the Whities.

      Stinkhout - 2011-08-09 13:40

In order to have a successful NHS the ANC would have to hire 10 new managers for every doctor they employ. That is 10 new BMW’s, pensions, medical aid, expense accounts, accommodation, etc. The tax from these newly created jobs will be enough to pay the salary of the doctor they have to manage. So it’s a brilliant way of generating employment and having a NHS. And it’s all funded by Malema’s trust fund.

They cant run a bath without somebody stealing the soap and water, but they want to run a NHI scheme. Can you imagine the theft, tender frauds, ineptitude etc?

  • gatvol4corru - 2011-08-09 11:20

Sounds perfect in principle, just not practical. It means that the already heavelly burdened tax-payer will carry the rest that can not afford it. Sadly, the overpaid, incompetent, corrupt politicians will benefit with more tenders

  • SA_Mizdat - 2011-08-09 11:25

Whoopee f..cking doo! More taxes. More state interference. More scope for Azanian Native Cancer cadres to plunder. More scope for health services to collapse under the malicious "management" of fundamentally incompetent cadres. Can't wait.

    oh f*#k

      Angel - 2011-08-09 11:57

      my thoughts exactly

  • Serias - 2011-08-09 12:05

They cant even plan a piss-up in a bottle store. Look what they did to the Road Accident Fund in a span of 17 years......and Eskom, and SAA,and Spoornet, and the SAPS, and the SANDF,and Denel, and the SABC, and the health system, and the education system, and the roads, and the water infrastructure, and the vehicle administration system..and...and....and...and....HELL, has anything they touched ever worked?????

The proverbial "Can of worms", is about to opened for the umpteenth time.

      Fred - 2011-08-09 19:17

A well-meaning initiative, but handled by the ANC government it will be badly-planned and a total waste of time. Why not get the government hospitals up to scratch first, and then try and improve thereafter?

      Yoni - 2011-08-09 19:40

The British NHS (National Health Service) is a big headache over there, how the heck will something similar work in SA with even less taxpayers, but more parasites?

  • blcksoul84 - 2011-08-10 09:40

more yadi yada and less ching ching ,clearly the gov is going ahead with NHI so maybe its the right time to drop your medical aid

  • Sgebengu - 2011-08-10 15:19

Any government anywhere will always have people that "collect rent"...the problem with SA is corruption in Gov is way above tolerable levels. We need strong Institutions and be seen to be dealing with corruption effectively.

  • Fair Deal - 2011-08-12 15:58

The only reason to implement NHI is to join state health care with private health care to shore up a crumbling state health care system. Both systems will eventualy become defunct overwhelmed by allready scarce resources and lack of trained personell .
