Johannesburg - The director general of the Limpopo provincial government Nelly Hlamalani Manzini has been suspended, the provincial government said on Tuesday.
"Dr Nelly Hlamalani Manzini has been put on a precautionary suspension with immediate effect pending the finalisation of her disciplinary enquiry by the office of the Premier," spokesperson Tebatso Mabitsela said in a statement.
Manzini was suspended in connection with awarding of a tender to Samba Trading in 2006.
Rachel Modipa was appointed the acting director general of the provincial government.
