Johannesburg - South Africa's headline consumer inflation slowed to 5.3% year-on-year in November from 5.5% in October, Statistics South Africa said on Wednesday.
On a month-on-month basis, CPI also came in slightly lower at 0.1% compared with 0.2% in October.
Economists surveyed by Reuters expected a year-on-year rate of 5.4% and 0.2% month-on-month.
