Competition watchdog gets acting deputies

Cape Town - Two acting deputy commissioners have been appointed to the Competition Commission, Economic Development Minister Ebrahim Patel said on Monday.

Hardin Ratshisusu was appointed on an acting basis for the next six months, while Oliver Josie was reappointed as acting deputy commissioner for the same period.

"Both Ratshisusu and Josie are part of the executive management of the Competition Commission. Ratshisusu has served as divisional manager for mergers and acquisitions since March 2014, while Josie has been in this current role since 2013," Patel said in a statement.

He believed the appointments would help the commission's work, which included promoting economic transformation.
