The event would take place annually, a Chamsa statement said.
"Current research indicates that there are numerous impediments to the development of a viable Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector in South Africa," read the statement.
"One of Chamsa's most important goals is to make a significant contribution to the promotion of black economic empowerment.
"The implementation of the small business initiative will prioritise the empowerment of marginalised communities."
It added that Chamsa particularly aimed to assist in facilitating the registration of enterprises and to formalize their operations.
Chief executive Sipho Mseleku said Chamsa's greatest task had been to facilitate for various business bodies and to create forums for achieving consensus on a sustainable strategy.
