Poor crop production fuelled the downturn to a total output of A$34.2bn, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said.
Cotton dipped 46% to A$514m, while rice fell 80% to A$51m due to an 84% slump in production.
Wheat production was down almost two thirds with wheat-for-grain 51% weaker at A$2.5bn.
Despite a fall in lamb exports, the value of livestock slaughtering rose by 3% to A$12.4bn, buoyed by increased production of other livestock.
