Cape Town - Koeberg's unit two will shut down on March 14 for maintenance, Eskom said.
"As previously announced by Eskom in January, the unit is expected to take approximately 55 days to complete the refuelling, maintenance and statutory inspections, and hence is anticipated to return to service by the second week of May," Eskom said.
The unit will be shut down in the early hours of March 14 for refuelling, maintenance and inspection.
Unit one will continue to operate at full power.
"Eskom performs the maintenance of its power generation fleet during the spring, summer and autumn months, and given the higher electricity demand, has minimum scheduled shutdowns during the winter months."
Eskom appealed to the public to be efficient and not waste electricity.
