Johannesburg - The ANC's task team investigating nationalisation has "almost finished its work", party spokesperson Jackson Mthembu said on Friday.
The ANC's National Executive Committee would be holding a meeting next week, but Mthembu could not confirm whether the nationalisation document would be discussed at that gathering.
However, he said that to the best of his knowledge, the team would - as earlier agreed - complete its report by year-end.
The team was tasked with studying how nationalisation has functioned in other countries such as Chile, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Zambia, Brazil, Venezuela, Namibia, Botswana, Malaysia, China and Australia.
