Fin24 user D Naidoo is considering emigrating because he is getting deeper into debt each year. He writes:
I am the father of two babies and as my wife and I go along each year we seem to be getting deeper and deeper into debt, (even though) we are trying our utmost best to resolve our debt issues.
Both of us have stable jobs with a combined net a salary of around R22 000 a month which is used to pay for our bond, car, debt, groceries - especially nappies - and the killer, petrol.
Times are certainly tough and we are also considering emigration. With our qualifications we may be able to live a better and secure life, especially for our kids elsewhere.
At this moment we are juggling our money and trying very hard to consolidate our debt. We are very positive and will never give up.
We all have to survive especially for our families.
