Johannesburg - If you are under debt review, but still battling with your repayments then it is time to see your debt counsellor, advised DCM group marketing director Anjela da Silva.
“It is very important that you go back and speak to your debt counsellor so that you can apply for a change of circumstances”.
She said the debt counsellor will then go back to the creditors and re-negotiate with them.

“This is very important, a lot of consumers just stop paying and they run the risk of their debt review application being terminated.”
If this happens then consumers can’t go back into the process because they haven’t followed through with what they have committed.
