Cape Town - Cape-based direct wine marketer, The Wine-of-the-Month Club, has signed an exclusive contract with well-known on-line shopping site, Kalahari.net, that will see the wine club selling its wines on-line, the group announced on Wednesday.
In terms of the agreement, wines from The Wine-of-the-Month Club will be the only wines available on the site.
Colin Collard, MD of The Wine-of-the-Month Club, said the decision to sell its wine via Kalahari.net was part of the club's "controlled move into on-line selling".
"We also believe that Kalahari.net is one of the most popular on-line shopping malls right now, and will be able to do justice to our wines," he added.
The Wine-of-the-Month Club has more than 23 000 regular club members.
