Cape Town - Lufthansa is increasing its service between Cape Town and Munich from five weekly non-stop flights to a daily schedule.
The seasonal service, valid from October 25 2015 until March 27 2016, is operated using the A340-600.
Lufthansa’s intercontinental fleet overhaul, equating to a daily 1 million invested in both onboard and ground products is in its final stretch and customers are now being offered the new Premium Economy Class which compliments the retrofitted First and Business Class cabins.
The new Premium Economy Class seats offer up to 50% more room than Economy Class and positions Lufthansa as a leader in offering premium service in all four classes of service.
For the fifth year running, Edelweiss, Switzerland’s leading leisure carrier and a subsidiary Lufthansa Group carrier Swiss, will connect Cape Town with Zurich non-stop twice a week during South Africa’s high season operating flights from October 2015 until mid May 2016.
Edelweiss has also recently completed a major refurbishing programme of their cabin now offering three classes, namely the flat bed Business Class, the Economy Max and the normal Economy Class.
Reflecting the importance of South Africa to Lufthansa network, the airline is also introducing the new generation Boeing B747-8 to its Johannesburg route.
