Johannesburg - Australian airline Qantas has grounded all
flights until further notice, due to a protracted labour dispute in a move
which may impact SA Airways, the Sunday Times reported.
SAA offers three flights a week to Sydney which are operated
by Qantas in terms of a code-sharing agreement.
SAA spokesperson Dileseng Koetle told the paper not all
flights would be affected, and that SAA would continue to monitor the
situation.
Flights to Perth would continue but connecting flights
within Australia were likely to be disrupted, the paper reported.
Qantas is providing a full refund for any flights cancelled
due to industrial action, according to a statement on its website, but it said
codeshare flights were still operating.
Acsa spokesperson Solomon Makgale was not immediately
available for comment.
