Johannesburg - Comair [JSE:COM] expects its headline earnings per share in the nine months to June to rise by more than 20% from the comparative period a year ago.
The airline attributed an improvement in earnings to improved cost recoveries through new revenue management and operating systems‚ as well as efficiencies arising from the new aircraft purchased in the first six months of the financial year.
Industry capacity had also been more closely aligned to market demand‚ the company said in a statement‚ adding that a further trading update would be released.
The results are expected before the end of September.
