Johannesburg - Jubilee Platinum (JBL), the junior platinum firm with projects in South Africa's Bushveld Complex, said on Wednesday that drilling at the Antsahabe prospect in the northern area of the Londokomanana property, Madagascar has shown pleasing results.
The company said in a statement on the JSE news service SENS that a wide nickel-copper mineralisation had been intersected with selected results showing higher-grade zones that could be selectively mined at 0.49% Ni over 1.35 metres and 0.63% Ni over 0.9 metres.
It said the highest-grade intersection of 0.2 metres assayed 1.24% Ni and 0.33% Cu.
The Londokomanana project is a joint venture with TransAsia Minerals Limited, which have the right to earn-in 51% of the project for an expenditure of US$7m.
