Johannesburg - Furniture group Steinhoff International [JSE:SHF] on Tuesday reported a 4% decline in revenue to R24.8bn in the six months to end-December 2009, but maintained its comparable previous interim profit of R1.73bn.
Diluted headline earnings per share fell from 114.3c to 112.8c while headline earnings increased 4% to R1.55bn.
The group said the results were solid, and it was comfortable that its businesses have adapted well to the changed economic environment and remain competitive to continue to deliver the group's targeted growth.
