Cape Town - Just because it is winter in Cape Town does not mean there is nothing happening at the V&A Waterfront.
On the contrary, Carla White, the Waterfront's PR and communications manager, told Fin24 on Friday.
"The V&A has planned a variety of entertainment and activities to ensure that Capetonians need not stay bundled up at home all winter, said White.
The entertainment and activities planned range from those suitable for adutls to those activities for children to enjoy during the school holidays.
According to the Waterfront's retail executive Alex Kabalin there has been an increase in British and German tourists to the Waterfront, because of improving economic conditions in Europe.
In 2014 the V&A has also seen more international visitors from countries like China and Brazil, Kabalin told Fin24.
He is also pleased with the number of international retail stores which have chosen to have a presence at the Waterfront and pointed to the next big step being the coming of a flagship store by iconic Swedish retailer H&M.
The giant store is due to open in October.
"A rising tide lifts all," Kabalin explained of the increasing presence of popular global and local retailers at the Waterfront.
