Vevey - Swiss food giant Nestlé on Thursday said its net profit fell 2% to 10bn Swiss francs ($11.1bn) last year, owing to negative currency effects and restructuring of Nestle's product portfolio.
Nestlé had sold its weight-loss product brand Jenny Craig late in 2013. Revenues rose 2.7% to 92.2bn francs.
The increase would have been an additional 3.7 percentage points higher without the unfavourable currency developments.
Nestle's operating profit fell 2.4% to 13.07bn francs.
