Cape Town - The embattled Quoin Rock Estate in the Western Cape has been sold for R85m, says a report.

The wine farm was sold to the owner of Quoin Rock Vineyards following a failed auction last year, BDLive reported.

The 198 hectare farm was previously in the ownership of businessman Dave King who is involved in a legal battle with the SA Revenue Service, which claims it is owed R2.7bn by King.
