Johannesburg - Investec Property Fund (IPF) debuted on the JSE on Thursday, trading at R10.60 per unit in midday trade.
The offer price in terms of the private placing ranged between R9.50 and R10.60 per linked unit.
The fund includes a sectoral spread of property assets in office, retail and industrial investment properties.
The fund comprises a portfolio of 29 initial properties independently valued at R1.77bn, primarily in Gauteng, with good representation in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
Investec said the intention was to grow the fund by acquiring income-producing properties that would enhance the overall capital and income returns in the medium to long term.
