Johannesburg - Redefine International said on Tuesday that Hans Enderle, the founder and former chairperson of City Lodge Hotels [JSE:CLH], has acquired about 11% of its hotel investment portfolio, Redefine International Hotels.
Redefine recently acquired five Holiday Inn-branded hotels in London fo about £112m.
These hotels are managed by the group under the direction of Helder Pereira, CEO of Redefine International Hotels.
Enderle will be appointed to the board of both the hotel-owning and management companies. He said he was excited to join the Redefine team in the UK.
Stephen Carlin, the chairperson of Redefine International Hotels, said the company was delighted to welcome Enderle as a partner in its international hotel business.
"The London hotel market is performing exceptionally well. The royal wedding in April and the Olympic Games in 2012 will help maintain its place as a popular destination," Carlin said.
