Pretoria - Former deputy president of AgriSA, Lourie Bosman, was elected the new president of the agricultural union in Pretoria on Friday.
In his inauguration speech, Bosman said there was a definite future for agriculture in South Africa, but he criticised the public for not giving the industry its rightful recognition.
Bosman, who is also head of the land reform committee and who has been deputy president since 2000, replaced Japie Grobler.
Grain SA chairperson Bully Bothma was elected his deputy.
