The International Ross 308 bird has proven to be very successful all over the world due to the excellent performance at breeder level combined with outstanding broiler results, emphasising the balanced approach to breeding adopted by Aviagen, it said.

To ensure the quickest introduction of the International Ross 308 bird into South Africa, Aviagen has allowed for the importation of International Ross 308 Great Grandparents into South Africa.
This will allow for the phasing in of the International Ross 308 parents into the South African market during the latter half of 2009.
