Johannesburg - The new South African Airways (SAA) CEO could be taking over from December 1.
There were speculations yesterday that department of public enterprises director-general Portia Molefe had resigned from her position with a view to the SAA post.
SAA spokesperson Robyn Chalmers declined to comment yesterday. "The appointment process for a new CEO is at an advanced stage, and an announcement will be made shortly."
However, a department of public enterprises spokesperson has confirmed Molefe's resignation.
"She is currently serving a three-month period of notice, and her contract ends finally at the end of November."
