Nampak lifts earnings

Johannesburg - Packaging group Nampak [JSE:NPK] lifted fully diluted headline earnings per share by 15% from 66.7 cents to76.7 cents for the six months ended March.

The group's operating profit for the half-year reflected a 13% increase from R707m to R799.6m.

This was despite a 6.5% decline in revenue from R10.091bn to R9.434bn.

The group declared an interim dividend of 25 cents per share which was 38.9% higher than the 18 cents per share declared for the previous comparable half-year.
