London - Global mining giant Anglo American Plc ended its long search for a new chairperson on Wednesday with the appointment of Mark Moody-Stuart, the former head of oil giant Royal Dutch/Shell Group.
Moody-Stuart is to take over from Julian Ogilvie Thompson, who retires at the end of November.
Anglo American had been searching for a new chairperson since March when Goran Lindahl, the chairperson-designate, was forced to step down.
Lindahl was dogged by reports about the size of his severance package and pension from ABB, the Swiss-Swedish engineering firm where he was chief executive.
