Johannesburg – Village Main Reef [JSE:VIL] said on Tuesday that it had obtained a court interdict under section 158 of the Labour Relations Act following the unprotected industrial action that began at the Blyvooruitzicht Mine on Monday.
“In line with the Act‚ the Company may issue an ultimatum to striking employees depending upon the outcome of a mass meeting held at the operation today.
"(we) have sought to engage with employee representatives to avoid the inevitable dismissals should this process take its course‚” the company said.
