Johannesburg - Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat) on Wednesday confirmed that operations at its north shaft
had been interrupted as a result of unprotected industrial action by
around 500 employees.
North shaft accounts for around 50% of
RBPlat’s production. Operations at south shaft are currently
unaffected.
“RBPlat management is making every
effort to understand the reasons for and to resolve this action‚”
the company said in a statement.
