2011-01-18 10:50

The case against late businessman Sandile Majali was formally withdrawn in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court on Tuesday.

Advocate Shaun Abrahams presented Majali's death certíficate to Magistrate Ashika Ramlaal.

"This is for the record, the accused is now deceased," Abrahams told the court.

Senior counsel on behalf of Majali, advocate Dumisa Ntsebeza said: "The only thing is my client never had an opportunity to prove his innocence."

He had been accused of "hijacking" Kalahari Resources by allegedly changing the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office's record to list himself as one of mining company's directors.

Now we will never know who was involved with him.... what was the result or the post mortem?? I reckon he was put down before he talked and brought down some big names...

Classic!!! One accused dead & the other 2 vigourously fighting the prosecution claims that they are mentally ill & should be committed to an institution!! Case will collapse & we we will never get to find out which ANC bigwigs were set to cash in! You gotta love this country...!!

The question is who are the rightful Directors of that Company now?
