Johannesburg - Anglo Platinum (Amplats) [JSE:AMS] had a 20% worker turnout at its mines in Rustenburg and north of Pilanesburg on Thursday due to a strike.
"As a result of the strike action, an average of approximately 3100 ounces of production per day have been lost," Amplats said in a statement.
"The company continues to engage with Amcu (Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union) to try and return the business safely to optimal operation levels."
Amcu members downed tools on Friday in protest against the retrenchment of 3 300 workers.
