Johannesburg - Bullion producer Gold Fields [JSE:GFI] on Tuesday named a veteran mining executive to head its West African business, its largest geographic contributor to production.
Gold Fields said in a statement Alfred Baku, currently a vice-president for West Africa, will take up his new post on August 1. Baku will be the first Ghanaian to head the region, Gold Fields said.
