Johannesburg - MTN said on Tuesday it would introduce seamless roaming across all its 21 operations in Africa and the Middle East within the first half of 2009.
"We are offering MTN subscribers free incoming calls whilst roaming in the participating networks and no need for SIM card replacements when travelling within participating MTN operations," MTN's WECA region vice-president Christian de Faria, said in a statement.
All calls made by the roamer/traveller will be charged at the local rates of the MTN participating country.
Kuwait's Mobile Telecommunications Co (Zain) already operates a One Network concept.
