Johannesburg - The
MTN Group [JSE:MTN] on Wednesday announced the appointment of Ignatius Sehoole as Vice President for the South and East Africa (SEA) Region, effective November 1.
He will take over from Tim Lowry whose contract with MTN ended in June this year.
Sehoole comes to the MTN Group from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he was Joint Deputy Chief Executive. He also served on the PwC Executive Committee and was responsible for the integration of PwC's operations across the African continent.
Prior to joining PwC, Sehoole was the Executive President of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). He is a director on a number of institutions including the Public Investment Corporation (PIC).
In another development, MTN has announced that Santie Botha, Group Chief Marketing Officer, is leaving MTN after seven years of service to pursue new endeavours.
