Johannesburg - Mvelaphanda Group [JSE:MCG] has disposed of its remaining interest in private hospital operator Life Healthcare Group [JSE:LHC] through two separate transactions for a total cash consideration of R328.14m.

Mvela Group disposed of shares in Life Healthcare for R192.8m on the open market.

The disposals are part of Mvela Group's value unlocking strategy in order to realise value for its shareholders, and the proceeds would be utilised in the most appropriate manner as determined by the board, it said.
