Moscow - Volkswagen on Monday announced cuts to the workforce and working hours at its plant in Russia because of weak demand.
The company is offering "balanced compensation packages to those of its staff ready to leave the company by mutual agreement," spokesperson Lilia Leonova said in emailed comments.
Europe's biggest carmaker did not divulge how many jobs would be cut but said it is also reducing the working week at its Kaluga plant from five to four days from April to July.
