Johannesburg - Trade union Ceppwawu and pulp and
paper group Sappi are scheduled to meet on Wednesday regarding the
looming job cuts allegations within the company.
The Chemical, Energy, Paper, Printing, Wood and Allied Workers' Union said on Monday that the company intended to cut more than 1 200 jobs by February/March as part of its overall restructuring process.
The union said Congress of SA Trade Unions and Economic Development representatives would join the meeting.
