Lagos - Anglo-Dutch oil giant Shell said on Tuesday it has resumed shipments of crude from a key export terminal in southern Nigeria, after repairing a damaged pipeline.
"The force majeure on Bonny Light exports was lifted effective (from) December 14 following the repairs of the supply pipeline and stabilisation of production," a Shell spokesperson told AFP.
He did not disclose the volume of exports from the terminal. Bonny Light is a type of crude.
Shell declared force majeure on November 19 because of a leak on the Trans-Niger pipeline, which feeds the exports terminal.
Force majeure is a legal clause allowing producers to miss contracted deliveries because of circumstances beyond their control.
