Sasol Inzalo pays dividend

Johannesburg - Sasol Inzalo Public Limited announced on Wednesday that shareholders would receive a dividend of R2 per share.

"We are proud to offer South Africans an opportunity to own part of Sasol through a platform that is accessible," Sasol Limited executive director Nolitha Fakude said in a statement.

"We set out to create Sasol Inzalo as a long-term investment option for our shareholders and continue to believe in its value."

Sasol Inzalo was established in 2008 to give qualifying South Africans a chance to become shareholders. About 65,000 Sasol BEE ordinary shareholders own approximately 2.8 million shares.

"Today represents another milestone in the success of the transaction and the benefit that patient shareholders stand to gain."

There were currently over 214 000 shareholders.
