Johannesburg - South Africa's manufacturing production was up 1.1% year-on-year in December after a revised 1.9% contraction in November, Statistics South Africa said on Tuesday.
On a month-on-month basis, factory output increased by 2.3%, and was up 2.5% in the three months to December compared with the previous three months.
In October manufacturing production slowed in line with expectations, expanding 2.2% year-on-year from a revised 8.6% growth in September.
