London - Brewer SABMiller [JSE:SAB] posted a 3% rise in full-year revenue on Tuesday, helped by sales volume increases in both beer and soft drinks, and said it is reviewing its holding in Tsogo Sun Holdings [JSE:TSH].
SABMiller currently has an effective 39.6% shareholding in the hotel company, with a trading value of about R10.9bn. As the investment is not considered core to its beverage operations, SABMiller is reviewing the strategic options for this stake.
Tsogo Sun said it is assisting SABMiller with the review.
The London-listed brewer behind beers such as Miller Lite and Peroni reported that its full-year sales volume rose 2%, with lager volume up 1% and soft drinks 5%.
