Johannesburg - PetroSA will sign an agreement with
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) state oil company Cohydro Sarl on Tuesday,
the national oil company said.
PetroSA group chief executive Nosizwe Nokwe-Macamo said the
agreement represented a significant milestone.
"PetroSA faces an exciting future. At the core of this
is the establishment of strategic partnerships with several national oil
companies located on the continent and internationally," she said in a
statement.
"PetroSA is poised to grow into a leading integrated
African energy company."
The agreement would ensure that both companies developed a
framework to jointly pursue oil and gas opportunities in the DRC.
The agreement would be signed in Pretoria at the end of a meeting between the two. Presidents Jacob Zuma and Joseph Kabila would witness the signing.
