Johannesburg - Gauteng transport MEC Ismail Vadi on Tuesday announced the appointment of four new members of the Gautrain Management Agency Board and the re-appointment of four previous board members.
"Continuity of the membership of the board is very important in facilitating its effectiveness and the MEC therefore re-appointed four of the previous GMA board members and the chief executive officer to maintain continuity," Gautrain spokesperson Barbara Jensen said.
The appointment is for a board for a three-year term with effect from January 1.
The re-appointed board members are Motseoa Alix-Mary Lugemwa as chairperson, Doris Dondur as deputy chairperson, Mzolisi Nkumanda, Prof Wellington Thwala, and Jack van der Merwe as GMA chief executive officer.
The new appointments are Bolokang Lengane, Sebina Hlapolosa, Unathi Mntoninthsi, and Satish Roopa.
