Brikor fails to table interim results

Johannesburg - Brikor Limited [JSE:BIK], an AltX-listed clay brick, tile and pipe maker, on Thursday withdrew publication of its interim results after a round robin resolution by its board was not signed by all the directors over the festive season.

"At a directors' meeting held on Friday, 21 January 2011, the interim results and the publication thereof were approved in accordance with Brikor's Articles by the Board of Directors. It is expected that the interim results will be released shortly together with a current independent auditors' report," the group said.

In December, Brikor advised that for the six months ended August 2010 it expected the basic loss per share would decrease by between 0.94c and 1.01c per share compared to the comparable period. It also expected to incur a headline loss per share of between 1.69c and 1.71c, it said.

The company's results were expected to be released before December 31.

Exchange Sponsors Ltd has been appointed as the new designated advisor of Brikor after the services of the group's previous advisor, Vunani Corporate Finance was terminated.
