Johannesburg - Bell Equipment [JSE:BEL] announced plans to restructure for improved efficiency.
Bell advised shareholders in a Sens statement issued on Wednesday that it has embarked on a review of all its cost structures group-wide to ensure alignment with revenue performance and the changing needs of the business and its customers.
This is with a view to improving operating efficiencies and ensuring the group's long term competitiveness and sustainability.
In South Africa, a consultation process in terms of section 189A of the Labour Relations Act has been embarked upon with organised labour and other relevant stakeholders. The group is also reviewing all non-South African group operations and similar processes will be followed in those countries where necessary.
