Johannesburg - Steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal SA has appointed an interim CEO after the resignation of Nonkululeko Nyembezi-Heita last year.
"The board is pleased to announce that Dr Hans Ludwig Rosenstock has been appointed as acting CEO and executive director while the board embarks on a search for a permanent CEO," the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
His appointment would be effective from February 19.
Rosenstock, who is currently the company's chief operating officer, has also been appointed vice president of the ArcelorMittal Group.
Nyembezi-Heita announced her intention to step down as CEO and executive director on December 9. She will officially step down on February 18.
