Idion to produce accountants report

Johannesburg - The Securities Regulation Panel (SRP) had ruled that certain statements made by information technology group Idion constituted profit forecasts and that it was now required to produce a reporting accountants' or auditors' report on these forecasts, BoE Merchant Bank said on Friday.

The SRP had extended the date by which DataMirror may finally revise its hostile bid for Idion, BoE Merchant Bank added.

The period of such extension would be determined by the date on which the reporting accountants' or auditors' report was submitted.

Idion's share price was unchanged at R1.60 on Friday afternoon.
