Johannesburg - The publisher of Media24's flagship magazines, Huisgenoot, YOU, DRUM and Heat, Izelle Venter, was on Tuesday named editor-in-chief of the titles.
She replaces Esmare Weideman, who has been appointed CEO of Media24. Weideman takes over from Francois Groepe who has quit to lead a bid for the buyout of education publishing division Via Afrika.
Venter was previously editor of Insig, Move! and TVPlus before she joined the weekly titles in 2007.
