Johannesburg - Jill Watts has been appointed the CEO of General Healthcare Group (GHG), the company said on Tuesday.
Watts would assume her new role on November 17, the company said in a statement. She would succeed Stephen Collier.
She was also appointed to the board of Netcare Limited.
"Jill is recognised as a leader and opinion-shaper in the United Kingdom's health care sector," Netcare Limited CEO Dr Richard Friedland said.
"She has, in the recent past, been voted the most influential leader in the private health care sector and as one of the most inspirational women within the health care sector overall."
Netcare Limited bought UK property investor Brockton Capital’s interests in the private hospital group GHG for 11m in January last year.
